SOS Quick content review

SOS Quick Content Review is a new addition to my book reviews starting with the Lily and the Octopus review. All previous book reviews will hopefully have an SOS Quick Content Review added at some point however for now this is a new feature ongoing.

What is an SOS Quick Content Review?

Well much like movie reviews, where sexual content, profane words and possibly some other categories are reviewed specifically, the SOS Quick Content Review will do the same. Focusing at first on sexual and profane content. I will not be counting curse words like some movie reviews do however, I will rate the profanities as "none, little, moderate or excessive" and give my opinion on the context.

Regarding sexual content I will do the same giving a review such as "no sexual situations, tastefully described, moderately explicit or excessively explicit" and will explain my rating.

Why am I doing these SOS Quick Content Reviews?

I love to read and sadly find many books, especially current books, contain content I would rather not focus on in detail.
I don't want to miss out on current fiction altogether though so I have some strategies I use when reading (coming in another post).

Just as I would rather not watch movies containing excessive sexual or profane content and can find movie reviews that allow me to choose movies based on my preferences. I would like to offer that same service to book readers.

• Sexual Content: none, all romantic relationship situations and connections are tastefully presented.
• Crude or Profane Language: very little, there are some profanities sprinkled here and there, all in context and appropriate for the story.
