2 Tips for Clutter & Grime

How many times have you done a quick tidy on the house because you just don't have time to really clean?

​Then the grime and gross builds up because after the event that caused you to do a quick clean you become busy with life and things "seem" clean enough after the quick tidy...

More days go by, another quick tidy, throw things in the dumping spot (ours is usually the office/guest room) do a quick wipe down with a cleaning wipe or towel - whatever is handy  - and move on.

Then, once again, the grime and gross builds up...until finally you have a mommy melt down send everyone to their rooms and deep clean the house for HOURS. Anyone else? I know I am  not alone...

I have a couple tips that may help you!

The Quick Tidy of the Clutter

• grab a big basket, I use a laundry basket, it is also helpful to have a garbage  bag or plastic shopping bag for trash as you go (especially if you have teenagers).
• start in one room of the house - we have a ranch style home so I pick a room at one end and work my way through. If you have a multi-level home I would use the same idea, start on one floor, work you way room by room then move to the next floor in whatever order makes the most sense
• quick tidy that room, throw everything in the basket that doesn't belong in that room, move to the next room
• in the next room, remove from the basket anything that now belongs in the room you are in and put it away, do a quick tidy, remove anything that doesn't belong in this room, throw it in the basket, move on to the next room
• continue through the house
