My Search for the best bra for a backless dress and all those times I need a strapless bra!
Midlife ladies, if you are like me the no bra option is no longer an option for reasons we are all individually well aware. Which is why I went on the search for the best bra for a strapless dress and for a strapless option I don't hate!
Younger ladies – I say it all the time and will say it again – midlife is coming for you too. You may laugh now but hopefully those of us telling our tales and storing them on our blogs for all to see will help you in the future! It’s not a bad thing – just something you will deal with when the time comes!
One of my favorite midlife you tubers Allison Moore Smith @midlifecredo has a video about being proud of our age and stage in life. I love it! Please watch it!
I also saw this gem on Allison's site - I'm a fan, of both MidlifeCredo and this quote! The trick is to age honestly and gracefully and make it look great so that everyone looks forward to it.
On that note, I think we are all looking great ladies, balancing this delicate stage of not trying to dress like we are 16 but embracing fun, brave, stylish fashion choices that express our personalities and celebrate the lives we are living!
We still need help though right? Encouragement and information about necessities in life and bras are one of those things. So here we go...
My search for the best backless, strapless bra that fits, stays and let me play!
I am about to share the results from my search for a good, affordable bra that allows me to wear strapless, low back, halter, cold shoulder – whatever neck line I want without looking strappy or feeling like I am going to lose my bra any second (i.e. constantly pulling up on those strapless bras is the worst!).
This post has #nosponsors however this post does contain affiliate links. What does that even mean? It means I may earn a small commission if you choose to purchase something using a link from this website. For many years, when I wore anything with a unique neckline I was just strappy. I always wore a tank of some sort under my top, or a sports or halter type bra and the straps were always showing. Can you relate? I love fun necklines and off the shoulder tops which is why I began my search for the “right” kind of bra to go with the styles I like to wear. I have tried many strapless versions that just DID.NOT. WORK. I have tried strapless bras using fashion tape to try to hold them in place. DID.NOT.WORK. I have tried “sticky bras” what a nightmare – I did not feel secure at all. Budget was a factor in my search.
Truthfully my budget for this type of item is limited – I need something under $50 for sure, in the $20-$30ish range is much better.
I have good news for you! I finally discovered a bra that works for various fashion styles and it is affordable. Prior to writing this post and sharing this information with you, I have used this particular bra for over a month on a regular basis at different events. This bra works. This bra is worth every penny and durable.

Thank you, Angie! I will do that. I have updated this post to include pictures of the actual bra and straps. For backless wear there are adhesive sides and the bra comes with one set of adhesives. You can purchase more adhesives. Making this bra reusable and the side flaps are not constantly sticky. I wear it with the clear straps mostly and the side flaps do not bother me at all.

Wow, Heidi ... how I wish I'd had this post a few weeks ago when I had to find a strapless to wear under the off-shoulder dress I wore to our son's wedding reception! I haven't worn one in who knows how long, and the process of tracking down a style that fit and stayed put (and didn't cost an arm and a leg) was kinda torturous. The one I settled on wasn't outstanding, so I'll have to keep your recommendation in mind if I need to go the route of strapless again in the future.

Nice post! Oh I know, you can get the pasties but that doesn't lift anything! Thanks for the options. I would love to wear some of the dresses with a low back, or no back but a great bra is a necessity!
