While my previous post about Our Groceries is still applicable and it is still one of the most recommended grocery list apps I have recently discovered another list making app that seems to be more useful for us simply because my family seems more willing to use it! It could be because we are a technologically mixed family – we have Apple users and Android users in this home. Yikes! That does cause problems at times. We work through it and endure teasing and peer pressure, even bragging from all sides.
I was experiencing some resistance with my whole “shared family lists” idea then my brilliant daughter Maggie (who is grown and running her own life and home now, and with whom we are planning a wedding long distance between Tennessee and Virginia!! Hello, we need some shared lists right!?!) introduced me to Google Keep Notes. I must say - I am not sponsored in any way by Google. I just love this app. Here is how it works! Keep Notes is a google app and, along with most of the world, we all have at least one google account so we can all make and share lists! This is working so well for us! This is not a specific grocery shopping app so it will not categorize your shopping (i.e. produce, meats etc…) but you can make multiple lists, add collaborators (in this case everyone who lives in my house is on the grocery store list, dollar store list, returns list…) or not (the girls are I are on the Ulta list – dad is not on that list, for good reason!). It is so easy to use and its FREE! This is saving us tons of time and making our shopping trips so much more efficient too. We still get home and think ugh we need….but it happens a lot less. If you try this let me know! I would love to hear how it works for you!

Wow! It sounds really cool! Currently I just start a text and include my family and they chime in what they want from the store. Your app sounds really cool! I had never heard of it! I will check it out!
